Message Found a steal I couldn't pass up on a MAPecu2 in Idaho for $315.00 shipped USPS priority mail; so I pulled the trigger, bought it and had my brother hold it for me while I traveled back to Houston.

Arrived this past Friday morning :)

I'm looking forward to tuning her and pushing the limits of my local E85, E98,and E100 pump fuel's.. I do have the J&S knock controller, however this unit does have active knock control built in, so I will run both controllers simultaneously until I feel comfortable with the dependability of the built in feature...

If it holds true with sensitivity, accuracy,etc.. in comparison to what i have found the J&S unit to be, I may be ditching it and throwing it in the classifieds, if the built-in unit doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling like the J&S, in it stays :)

I wasn't looking to go full standalone,(not YET at least), since this has the majority of the standalone tuneable areas for WAAAAY cheaper up front, yet extremely user friendly.

After the MAP ungrade, I would have ditched the following:

-(2) MAF's

-(1) Selin Elbow kit

-(1) Selin translator

-(1) Specialty-Z exp90 tuned chip

-(1)Blitz iColor boost controller

The sale of all of the above would have paid for this MAP piggy back at least 3 times over.

**I have the Ash-Spec Massives, so I am thinking of fabbing up some new piping to eliminate some unnecessary piping..

Install time should be 2hrs or less taking my time to label things etc...

For those not familiar with this unit, here is the site link: [ http://www.map-ecu.com/cart.asp ]

And a youtube link as well: [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqJ951PSiVE ]

Not sure if anyone knows who's Z is in this MAPecu video: [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvnb2q7dmJ4 ]

I'm thinking of doing some sort of carputer to have the ability to view everything in a easier fashion.. Haven't thought it out much just yet.. Any suggestions in that area would be appreciated.

^^^ Voila'

Will be buying some GM sensors, and misc supplies this week to do the install this weekend. Once installed, let the tuning begin!!! :-)

Happy Boosting!!! :-)
